Enrollment & Admissions

What grade levels does TVSA serve?

01

The Village: School of Abilities is a K-12 private school serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. We offer full-day kindergarten and ability-based grouping rather than traditional age-based grade levels, allowing us to meet each student exactly where they are in their learning journey. item

What types of learning differences and special needs do you support?

02

TVSA specializes in supporting neurodivergent learners, including students with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADHD
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyscalculia
  • Dysgraphia
  • Other learning differences

Our neuro-affirming approach celebrates how each student learns and creates individualized plans to support their unique strengths and needs.

How do I enroll my child at TVSA?

03

The enrollment process begins with:

Academic Program

Does TVSA follow Arizona state learning standards?

04

Yes, while we adapt our approach to meet individual learning needs, our curriculum aligns with Arizona state learning standards. We utilize a STEM-focused, project-based curriculum that incorporates faith-based values and life skills training. Our ability-based grouping allows us to meet students at their current academic level while working toward grade-level standards.

What is your teaching approach?

05

  • Small class sizes with 3:1 to 4:1 student-to-teacher ratios
  • Individualized Student Plans (ISPs)
  • Multi-sensory classrooms
  • Project-based learning
  • STEM curriculum
  • Life skills training
  • Evidence-based practices
  • Executive functioning support

What is ability-based grouping?

06

Rather than grouping students solely by age or traditional grade level, we group students based on their current abilities and learning needs. This allows us to provide appropriately challenging instruction in each subject area, meeting students exactly where they are and helping them progress at their own pace.

Therapies & Support Services

What therapeutic services are available on-site?

07

TVSA provides:

  • Occupational and speech therapy: Typically 30 minutes per week (depending on individual plan)

These services are integrated into the school day, so students don't miss academic instruction time. Therapy services are included as part of our comprehensive program and are tailored to each student's Individualized Student Plan.

How do you support students' social-emotional needs?

08

Our approach to social-emotional learning includes:

  • Small, structured environments where every student is known, valued, and supported
  • Crisis intervention training for all staff
  • Daily life skills instruction that includes emotional regulation and social skills
  • A faith-based foundation emphasizing compassion, respect, and perseverance
  • Parent collaboration to ensure consistent support at home and school

Costs & Funding

Do you accept ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) funding?

09

Faith & Values

What does "faith-based" mean at TVSA?

14

At TVSA, "faith-based" means integrating Christian faith into our educational approach, guided by Colossians 3:23: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart." We foster dedication, perseverance, and biblical values of kindness, respect, and compassion in a loving environment where every child is valued. We teach that salvation is grace through faith alone, while discussions on non-salvation issues are left to family discretion. Families of all backgrounds are welcome at TVSA.
