Our Mission
At The Village: School of Abilities, our mission is to empower special needs children through a neuroaffirming educational approach with a faith-based foundation. We focus on creating an inclusive environment where every child can thrive academically and socially.
We Provide
- Small class sizes with low student-to-teacher ratios (typically 3:1 to 4:1)
- Individualized Student Plans (ISPs) tailored to each student's specific needs
- Neuro-affirming educational approaches that meet learners where they are
- Multi-sensory classrooms designed for focused learning
- Ability-based grouping rather than age-based grouping
- Occupational and speech therapy (typically 30 min per week, depending on plan)
- On-site speech therapy (typically 1 hour per week)
- STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- Life skills training including daily living activities
- Project-based learning curriculum
- Executive functioning support
- ESA (Empowerment Scholarship Account) acceptance - major funding option for Arizona families
- Specialized support for autism, ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia
- Parent collaboration and communication systems
- Safe, structured environments with crisis intervention training
